Mobile App Development

iOS and Android apps for Louisville businesses, native or cross-platform, from first wireframes through App Store and Google Play release.

Who it’s for

Businesses that need an app their customers or their own team will actually open: a customer-facing app, a field app for staff on the move, or a first version of a new product.

It suits teams that want one partner from the first sketch to the store listing, not a design shop handing off to a separate developer.

Platforms

  • iOS and Android, native or cross-platform. We recommend the approach after the discovery week, based on what the app needs to do.
  • Wireframes through release. Design, build and testing, then App Store and Google Play submission, including the review paperwork nobody warns you about.
  • Web and API when the app needs a back end, an admin screen or a connection to systems you already run, which we can host and run for you.

We are currently shipping a consumer mobile app.

How it works

  1. Scope. A fixed-fee discovery week. You leave with a written spec, a real number, and a timeline, whether or not you hire us to build it.
  2. Build. A working build in your hands every two weeks. You try the app on your own phone as it is built, so course corrections cost days instead of months.
  3. Hand off. We submit to the App Store and Google Play under your developer accounts. Source code, accounts and documentation are transferred to you, and you are never stuck with us.

Most clients keep us on after release. We run the app and its back end on a monthly plan: hosting, monitoring, store and OS updates, and small changes, in accounts that stay in your name.

Every app starts with the fixed-fee discovery week, so you know the real number before you commit to a build.

Frequently asked questions

Native or cross-platform: which should we choose?

It depends on what the app does. Cross-platform often gets you to both stores faster; native can be the better fit for heavy device features. We recommend one in the written spec from the discovery week.

Will you handle App Store and Google Play submission?

Yes, including the review paperwork. Submission is part of the build, not an extra.

Whose developer accounts is the app published under?

Yours. The app, the store listings and the accounts belong to your business, and they are part of what we hand off.

Can the app connect to systems we already use?

Usually, yes. Most apps need a back end or a connection to existing tools, and we build that too.

What if we already have an app that needs fixing?

That's our App Support & Takeover service. We audit what you have and tell you plainly whether it's worth keeping.

What does an app need after it's in the store?

More than most people expect: iOS and Android updates every year, store policy changes, expiring certificates, and the back end it talks to. We offer a monthly maintenance plan that covers all of it, or we document it so your own team can.
